Mayor Cornett and City Council to announce MAPS 3 proposal today

WHO:

Mayor Mick Cornett and City Council members

WHAT:

Mayor Mick Cornett and City Council members will hold a news conference to announce the projects to be included in the MAPS 3 proposal.

An ordinance introducing the MAPS 3 proposal will appear on the September 22 City Council docket.  The final hearing is slated for September 29, and an election is expected to be held on December 8.

Mayor Cornett launched www.MAPS3.org in 2007 to get citizen input on what should be included in the proposal.

The news conference will be televised live on Channel 20.
