Reduced Fares
METRO Transit fares and passes are reduced for seniors and persons with disabilities. Children 7 and under ride for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Seniors
Seniors (60+) can ride local buses for $0.60 cents on local fixed-route service and $1.10 for express service. Seniors can also purchase a 30-day pass (good for unlimited travel on local bus and trolleys) for $20 and an 30-day express pass for $25.
Discounted rides and passes require a METRO Transit ID card or a Medicare Card be shown when boarding. To obtain a METRO Transit ID card, present a completed application, a photo ID (state ID, drivers license, birth certificate, etc.) and $1 to the Customer Service window in the Downtown Transit Center.

To qualify for a METRO Transit ID card on the basis of a disability, an application must be submitted to METRO Transit. METRO Transit will contact the applicant’s physician to complete the application. A notice and instructions are mailed to the applicant once approved.
