Share-A-Fare provides lower cost taxi fares for older adults and persons with disabilities. Curb-to-curb service using an area taxi company is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Share-A-Fare coupon books must be purchased in the city where the resident lives.
Participating communities and METRO Transit pay 40% of the cost and the participant pays 60%.
To participate in Share-A-Fare and purchase coupon books, simply:

Submit A Completed Application. Applications can be obtained online or by calling 235-RIDE (7433).

Obtain Photo ID & Punch Card. Once you are notified of your eligibility by ID & Punch Card. Simply, mail a recent photo to METRO Transit and we’ll send you your personalized Photo ID & Punch card. If you need a photo taken, come by the Downtown OKC Transit Center at 420 NW 5th St (map it) to have one taken.

Purchase Share-A-Fare Coupon Books. To purchase coupon books, present your METRO Transit Photo ID & Punch Card along with your payment. Coupon books are $6 each ($10 value) and must be purchased in the city in which you live. An outlet listing is below. If you wish to purchase coupon books by mail see mail orders below.

You must present your METRO Transit ID and Punch Card when purchasing coupon books. Participants must be 60 or older or disabled, verified with a doctor certification and resident of a participating municipality.
Share-A-Fare Outlets
Mail Orders:
Only Oklahoma City residents may order coupons by mail. Include your name and address, Punch Card, $2 for shipping and handling (ex. 2 books = $14, 4 books = $26) and check or money order payable to METRO Transit. Stamps will no longer be accepted as payment for shipping. No change or credit will be issued for overpayment. No refunds or exchanges will be issued.
Orders will be mailed after the first of the month. Please allow 5-10 business days for delivery. METRO Transit is not responsible for lost or stolen coupons, ID or Punch Cards. Coupons are nonrefundable/transferable and must be used before expiration date. A limited number may be purchased. Replacement ID Cards are $5 and Punch Cards are $10. There is no cost to renew expired cards.
